Hello everybody and welcome to today's post. I don't know about you but I've been seeing a lot of military jackets in stores lately. From Torrid to Maurices, they've been popping up everywhere. So, of course, I thought I'd invest in 2 of them to add to my wardrobe and boy, was I glad I did.
These little jackets have become my go-to pieces to dress up an outfit. They're versatile, light, and easy to wear over a tank or t-shirt or even a dress. When I feel like my outfit is just missing somethin', these jackets are what I've been grabbing to jazz it up. I got the two jackets in this post from Maurices and they've been a great addition to my closet.
So that brings me to this post. I want to show you guys 2 Ways to Style a Military Jacket. If you're interested in taking an ordinary outfit to the next level with one simple fashion decision just keep reading >>>>>

I wore this outfit to work a while back and at first I wasn't sure if I'd be able to pull off a crochet tee for the office. But once I added the gray military jacket it took the lace tee from casual bliss to office ready in a matter of seconds. To me, a military jacket is like a blazer's first cousin. Like a blazer, it can make the most casual clothing pieces look dressed up.

One day I was running late (as usual for me) and I needed to throw an outfit together in a hurry. So I reached for this sleeveless, black dress I got from Maurices, a pair of black leggings, and my black boots. I was half way out the door when I realized I needed to cover my arms. At my job, they keep the air conditioner cranking at a frosty 60 every day. So if I don't want to freeze I knew I had to cover up. Fortunately, I remembered this rust-colored military jacket in my closet and tossed it on. And just like that - my simple dress went from plain jane to work day appropriate.
