Colourpop Haul

Hello everybody and welcome to today's post. If you're like me then you like to save money but still look good. And while there are a lot of really great products at the drugstore there's another makeup company out there that has taken the cosmetic world by storm - Colourpop.

I found out about this company on YouTube and after hearing so many good reviews I knew I had to give them a try. So while I was perusing the Colourpop website I purchased a few goodies that I knew I had to share with you all.

There were two palettes that really caught my eye (no pun intended) - the Colourpop X Kathleen Lights Dream Street Palette and the Give It To Me Straight Palette. Can we just take a second and appreciate the color selections of both of these palettes? Both of them are soooo beautiful and unique in their own way.

Besides having an awesome color range to chose from both of these babies also blend like a dream, have little to no fallout, wear all day, and can compete with any high end eye shadow on the market. I can't wait to do a tutorial for you guys with them. Both of these palettes were extremely affordable - being their only $16 a piece - so I was able to get 2 palettes for the price of 1. Who doesn't love that?

But I must warn you about the Dream Street Palette - the names of the shadows are written on the back of the packaging in a mirrored way and it can get a little confusing when if you're trying to follow or film a makeup tutorial. But no worries, each color is so unique that the more you use the palette the more you realize that Kathleen named each color perfectly.

Another eye product I ordered were two of their Super Shock Shadows. I got the shades Sequin and I Heart This. And in case you're wondering why they look so messed up, I dropped them and they got jostled in the process.  But enough about that and more on the review. Both of these shadows are super pigmented and smooth as butter. They're creamy and they apply like a dream but I found that the best to apply them has been with my ring finger. I just tap my finger into the product and dab onto my eye lids.

Lastly, I picked up some liquid lipsticks. Colourpop is one of those really awesome makeup brands that has a wide selection of liquid lipsticks and formulas to choose from. From Ultra Satin to Ultra Matte to Ultra Blotted Lip - they have a liquid lipstick for you.

The colors I picked up (starting from left to right) were Creeper, Airplane Mode, Lumiere 2, Kween, Bare Necessities, and Little Weapon. I've become obsessed with Creeper. While the swatch is not really doing this bombshell red justice, don't let it fool you. This color is the perfect shade of red. I found each of the lipsticks to wear well but I must warn you they do transfer slightly and food breaks the formula down a little. But personally, I don't mind. But I know some people might, so be careful when using them. Other than that I found these liquid lipsticks to really pigmented and to feel nice on the lips. They're a great buy at a great price.

So now you've see it all so far. Colourpop is definitely a company I will purchase more products from again and I can't wait to see what they release in the future. I hope you all enjoyed this post. If so, let me in the comments.

Until next time . . .

XOXO,

Nellie
